EDSCLA – What We Do

Educational Diagnostic Services & Consulting of Louisiana (EDSCLA) partners with districts in providing comprehensive evaluations for students with disabilities through a multidisciplinary team.

EDSCLA collaborate with special education supervisors and administrators in meeting the assessment needs of the students and/or professional development needs of teachers.

EDSCLA utilize a variety of services that support the instructional programs and individual needs of the district.

On Site Consultation

EDSCLA builds the capacity of districts and schools by working as a contract employee.  Services provided to the district and schools are in the form of a pupil appraisal team member or school support staff person.  Hours vary based on the district and/or school needs.

Diagnostic Testing

Our goal is to provide schools with evaluations that are comprehensive and tailored to each individual student.

EDSCLA offers all levels of assessment batteries to meet the individual needs of each student. Services range from a basic update of academic achievement to full psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.   EDSCLA implements the regulatory requirements of Bulletin 1508—Louisiana Pupil Appraisal Handbook in all evaluation assessments.  Services are delivered quickly and professionally at a reasonable cost.

Professional Development

Our professional development sessions consist of evidence-based strategies that are curriculum neutral or tailored to focus on intervention programs that teachers are currently utilizing. Trainings are practical, engaging, and tailored to state and school standards. Staff will be able to leave with strategies and instruction to improve student achievement.
